Dr. Hill's career as a civil servant began at the age of 19, starting as a cooperative education student. His dedication and expertise have been recognized with numerous awards from the United States Army, including being named a Distinguished Departmental Fellow by the University Of Alabama Department Of Mechanical Engineering in 2012.

Beyond his industry experience, Dr. Hill is committed to education, serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Calhoun Community College teaching Business Statistics. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Huntsville Connect Class 13 and has served as an Evaluator for the Department of Defense (DOD) SMART Scholarship Program and a state-appointed Board Examiner for the State of Alabama Quality Award.

Dr. Hill holds a Doctoral degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Alabama-Huntsville, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama. He possesses defense acquisition certifications in Engineering, Production, Quality, and Manufacturing, and Program Management, and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Dr. Jonathan B. Hill

Dr. Jonathan B. Hill is the Owner, Founder, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Lifecycle Defense Solutions LLC founded in 2024.

Dr. Hill is a seasoned leader and engineer with extensive experience in the defense sector. Prior to founding Lifecycle Defense Solutions LLC, he served as the Chief Engineer for the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Management Office (PMO), where he was responsible for the technical direction and oversight of a $2 billion portfolio of Army programs and Foreign Military Sales. His leadership encompassed the full lifecycle of systems including development, acquisition, testing, product improvements, fielding, and sustainment for critical programs like Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), PATRIOT Ground Support Equipment, and Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS).

Before his role as Chief Engineer, Dr. Hill was the Director for Performance Management at IFMC from 2015 to 2020. His career also includes serving as the Chief Systems Engineer for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures ICBM/IRBM in 2015 and as the Chief of Lifecycle Engineering Branch for the Army’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) PMO from 2011 to 2014. Dr. Hill's involvement in UAS engineering began in 2005, and he progressed through roles as a Quality Engineer and Quality Engineering Lead within the UAS PMO, supporting programs like Shadow, Gray Eagle, and Hunter.
